Our team will be holding the University of Maryland's annual Uplifting Athletes Touchdown Pledge Drive this week as we head into Saturday's game against Indiana.
Formed in 2009, Maryland's Uplifting Athletes chapter was inspired by former quarterback and NFL star Boomer Esiason's son, Gunnar, who is fighting an ongoing battle with cystic fibrosis.
Each touchdown we score this weekend against the Hoosiers is an opportunity to not only raise awareness for cystic fibrosis but also a chance to help fund research for the rare disease. We are asking our fans, friends, and family to help by making a pledge through our online chapter found here.
Additionally, you can keep up with all of our Uplifting Athletes events including our Lifts for Life on Twitter by following our chapter's account at @UMD_Uplifting.
Our 1961 Throwback Uniforms: inspired by Maryland's history and heritage; engineered with Under Armour's passion and innovation.
The newest addition to our uniform lineup channels its design from our first-ever victory over Penn State in 1961.
The Cleveland Browns published a fun Q&A with former Terp Randy Starks and his "passion for fashion."
Among other things, Starks touches on balancing a wardrobe, his favorite designer brand, locker room dress codes, and his haircut schedule.
"I got tired of all the little guys acting like they were the best – the DBs and the receivers. They want to be the ones wearing the clothes that are hot in style. So I started dressing fancy, I’d say since my college days at Maryland."
